What Trent can do for you...

The Trent University Alumni Association has recently introduced two packages - Alumni Group Health & Dental Plan and a Medical Crisis Recovery Plan. Please contact the Alumni Office at alumni@ trentu.ca, 1-800-267-5774 or (705) 748-1573 to request a brochure.

The Medical Crisis Recovery Plan will provide you with a lump sum cash payment to help maintain your lifestyle during an unexpected critical illness. You can contact Seaboard Life directly at 1-800-266-5667 if you have any questions.

The Alumni Group Health & Dental Plan is a benefits package for individuals and small companies. Benefits include dependent life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment, out-of-Canada, survivor benefit as well as dental care and extended health (including prescription drugs). Specific questions can be directed to Campbell & Company at 1-888-918-5056.

The Library
Trent University Alumni are welcome to use Bata Library as external borrowers. Simply apply at the Circulation Desk to obtain an external borrower's card, show your alumni card and the fee is waived.

Canada-Wide Discounted Recreation Facilities Programme
A number of Universities across Canada offer discounted Athletic Department discounts to Alumni from other Universities. Trent participates in this reciprocal programme along with the following institutions: University of Manitoba, University of Saskatchewan, NAIT, University of Western Ontario, University of Calgary, Lakehead University, University of Alberta, Malaspina University-College, Canadore College, Georgian College, University of Windsor, University of Toronto (Mississauga/Erindale Campus), Queen's University, McGill University, University of Waterloo, University of Regina and Trent University. The Alumni Directory. York University, Brock University, Ryerson and the University of Victoria accept alumni from other institutions but a discount is not available.

Wine Not?
All members of the Trent Community who purchase wine at Wine Not's "brew-on-premises" Peterborough location will generate a donation to the Alumni Association. Visit John Morritt '75, his wife Catherine, and daughters Jennifer Chamberlain '94 and Sarah Morritt '94 at 356 Charlotte Street (NE corner of Charlotte and Reid) and just tell them you are part of the Trent family.

Campus WorkLink now at Trent
An Internet-based job posting system linking students and recent graduates with employers was officially launched at Trent on Sept. 21. Campus WorkLink is a nation-wide non-profit job posting database currently working with more than 75 post secondary institutions across Canada.

For a nominal fee, Campus WorkLink gives employers the ability to post job opportunities in one step at any or all of the participating institutions.

Trent University's agreement with Campus WorkLink is unique in that it marks the first time that Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC) has supported an institution's partnership with the job posting service.

Students and recent graduates can look for full-time, part-time, seasonal or contract work as well as internships in virtually any Želd, 24 hours a day, from any computer with Internet access.

WorkLink requires a username and password. Please contact the Counselling & Careers Centre (705) 748-1386 or e-mail campusworklink@trentu.ca to obtain Trent's username and password.
